Birzeit University is the first institution of higher education to be established in Palestine and is considered one of the most prestigious Palestinian universities, with the highest admission average amongst Palestinian universities overall.
The university offers 47 academic programs for undergraduates and 23 graduate studies programs across 8 faculties. Affiliated to Birzeit are eleven institutes and centers that contribute to the economic, social and human development of Palestine. Moreover, the University campus is home to a general purpose library and five specialized libraries, a museum, a computer center and a music conservatory.
